Στην 115 Πτέρυγα Μάχης στην Αεροπορική Βάση της Σούδας στην Κρήτη, πραγματοποιείτε συνεκπαίδευση της Πολεμικής Αεροπορίας (ΠΑ) με την 480η Μοίρα Μαχητικών (480th Fighter Squadron) των Αμερικανικών αεροπορικών δυνάμεων Ευρώπης (United States Air Forces in Europe/USAFE), που εδρεύει στην Αεροπορική Βάση Spangdahlem της Γερμανίας. Η συνεργασία αυτή των δύο αεροποριών εντάσσεται στο πλαίσιο της αμυντικής συνεργασίας των δύο Αεροποριών για το τρέχον έτος 2015.Συμφώνως με την ανακοίνωση του ΓΕΑ, «σκοπός είναι η εξάσκηση του προσωπικού στην εκτέλεση σύνθετων αεροπορικών επιχειρήσεων και συγκεκριμένα θα εκτελεσθούν αποστολές Αέρος – Αέρος, Αέρος – Εδάφους και COMAO (Composite Air Operations)».Από ελληνικής πλευράς, η Πολεμική Αεροπορία πρόκειται να συμμετάσχει με μεγάλο αριθμό Πολεμικών Μοιρών και μαχητικών αεροσκαφών διαφόρων τύπων, ενώ από αντίστοιχης αμερικανικής, η 480FS θα συμμετάσχει με το σύνολο των πτητικών της μέσων, δηλ. με 18 αεροσκάφη F-16CM και κλιμάκιο 300 ατόμων,A Hellenic air force F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft assigned to the 340th Fighter Squadron taxis during a flying training deployment on the flightline at Souda Bay, Greece, Jan. 28, 2015.
